The Gentle Game of Golf

The sport of golf has been gaining popularity worldwide because of the sterling qualities of the game. Despite being intensely competitive, the game itself lends to the gentler side of man by being a leisurely game (there is no rush to finish a game or time limits to playing a complete round, unless of course there are other players waiting for their turn at the greens). It is conducive for business deals too.

Parents of young children encourage their kids to take up the game to instill patience in their youngsters. Golf is one game that requires patience in terms of endless practice (most games really do) and a high degree of precision. Needless to say, people find golf to be a worthy sport although a golfer is likely to be competiting against himself by trying to achieve a lower score with each round he plays.
